Good posture at your desk is very important and breaks are the other half of the healthy desk work picture. An excellent computer break software product which I use and recommend to many patients is WorkPace (http://www.workpace.com/). You can download it for a one month free trial (although it is not compatible with macs I’m afraid). I would, however, recommend that you opt NOT to enforce the breaks (when you go through the set-up wizard) so that it doesn’t lock you out of your computer and cause enhanced stress! Can I also encourage you to go through the 10 min multimedia presentation which explains in detail why breaks are so important to good muscle and joint health at your desk (and, in fact, productivity).
